Manufacturing side for the R&D group. Looking for an Applications Engineer with titanium 3+ years of experience. Must have 5+ hands-on experience with horizontal or vertical machining centers involving titanium machining. Ideal candidate will have a 2 or 4 yr degree. Testing experience and knowledge of Unigrapics or Catia is a plus. Contract to perm in Cincinnati.

DUTIES: Provide software V&V activities to include: Test Script generation, test execution, Verification Plan, Verification Reports, Traceability Summaries, Software Analysis in lieu of testing, Tool Development, and Validation. REQUIREMENTS: Min. of 3 years experience in software verification and testing using C programming language and network/communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, LON). Experience with documentation in a regulated industry. Knowledge of electrical hardware, embedded microcontroller controls, applications, device drivers, and unit testing. Must have experience with Doors and Rational suite products. B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering required. 4-6 mos. contract in SE Indiana

Duties: • Mechanical Design for customer orders as assigned by project engineers. • These include: floor plans, system and piping plans, manufacturing drawings for mechanical assemblies and components, heating/cooling schematics, any other drawing required to complete a project • Develop BOM's, with help and supervision from Project Engineers. • Support internal and external manufacturing as issues arise. • Assist in new equipment design and/or improvements to current product. • Assist Project Engineers in creating and submitting required project documentation accurately and on a timely basis. • Assist Project Engineers in evaluating competitive or alternative designs Requirements: • Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. • Must have AutoCAD (2004 or later) and Inventor or other 3-D modeling software. • Previous experience in capital equipment design and manufacturing needed. • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ability to read and generate fluid schematics required. • Mechanical aptitude with creative ability to generate design solutions for various machine components. • Knowledge of ISO-9000 standards and applications • Knowledge and understanding of free body diagrams. • Ability to travel as needed to meet project needs. These positions are the primary interface between the Engineering Department, customers and vendor partners on projects. Develops critical path schedule. Tracks project costs to ensure in accordance with original estimate. DUTIES: • Act as primary interface between the Engineering Department and the customer; schedules necessary meetings with customer for project review; ensures meetings are documented. • Develops critical path schedule which includes engineering-electrical, mechanical and software, purchasing time, noticeable long lead times; acceptable delivery windows for purchased items, manufacturing time, check-out times, tear-down, rework, paint, shipping, installation, start-up assistance, and monitor schedule for slippage. • Act as primary engineering interface with vendor partners on project; interface with customer on labor or contractor for installation. • Track costs for project with assistance of inventory control or administration to maintain costs according to original estimate. • Represent company in industry associations and/or functions. REQUIREMENTS: • Min. of 4 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the Capital Equipment or Automotive industries • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written • Extension computer skills in MS Office and SAP (or other MRP system) • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment • Ability to travel for extended periods of time, as required (30% travel) • Bachelor's Engineering degree or Associates Degree in Engineering and 6+ years of work experience as a Project Engineer. DUTIES: • Analyzes blueprints, job specifications and related data to visualize the manufacturing & machining processes required to make parts. • Reviews blue prints and all relevant data to fully understand the customer's requirements and engineers the most cost effective way to manufacture parts. • When drawings are not available, reverse engineers from sample products to develop the data necessary to understand the job requirements. • Manipulates electronic drawing files to desired formats and utilizes CAD software to modify drawings. • Programs CNC turrets, lasers and jetcams. • Creates shop routings to include processing times. • Completes fixture and tooling selection and design • Measures and inspects parts. • Maintains part routings. • Disseminates the manufacturing steps through written instructions. • Communicates with the shopfloor, customers, and vendors. • Recommends and supports improvement initiatives. • Weld expertise needed on welded parts • Prepare and manage weld specifications • Conduct Weld Inspections and Audits REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing & machining experience. • Must have an advanced ability to read blue prints • Proficiency with CAD software. • Fixture design. • 5 years of weld inspection of D1 - D6 welds • Apply business management principles to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Strong math skills to include: fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, measurement, practical algebra, geometric construction, and trigonometry. • Very good communications skills to include: prepare business letters, summaries, and reports, using a prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, speak with poise and confidence, using correct English. • Licensures and Certifications: Certified Weld Inspector preferred. • Associate's degree preferred or equivalent knowledge gained from experience.
